Verbose-

Tuesday, July 26th, 2011

Being gifted with the trait of being verbose is both a blessing and a curse.

A gift (like weight loss pills) because it’s easy to compose sentences, blog posts, essays. And it would never be truly hard to express your ideas because you know what you want to say and how you want to say it.

It’s a curse because oftentimes, you just have a lot of things to say. And you really can’t keep it from becoming unending. When you have a lot of things to say, you find yourself seeking many avenues where you just can express them all.

And blogging is one of the many ideal avenues for verbose people.

Insomia-

It’s a common sleeping disorder that most of today’s generation get to experience. The common reason or source? The internet and a defective portable hard drives

Ever since the internet began, the frenzy over it never ceased to grow. It continues to expand as we were introduced to electronic mails, on line games, social networking sites, and now, we have the social media. Anything that could entertain people can be found on line. And the desire to keep yourself entertained with these things usually keep you awake past your bedtime.

Despite me having work, I personally am guilty of this crime.

It’s not an easy disorder to cure but one that I must because there are serious health implications if I don’t.

What Makes A Person Happy -

Sunday, July 10th, 2011

I know! – home theater system with dvd- :) The desire to become happy is universal. Happiness is a very subjective matter. Well, everybody has his or her own desires, thoughts, and emotions. These are factors that drive a person to be happy.

For some, what gives them contentment are not the material things. Instead, what makes them happy is the inner-peace. Their principle: in order to attain happiness, they need to have peace-of-mind. For instance, there are people that even when they are rich, they cannot find happiness. It is because, they want something more beyond money—having a baby (for those who still don’t have), having a happy family, et cetera—something which money cannot actually buy.

Again, what makes a person happy depends on his or her own wishes, emotions, and thoughts.

Learning From Mistakes

Saturday, July 9th, 2011

Mistakes are not created for people to suffer more and become bitter in life. Instead, these were made in order for people to realize a lot of values that they need. These mistakes will help every person to stand up and become better. If you have committed one, this does not mean that you are being dragged down to the abyss of sadness and guilt for the rest of your life.

The moment you experience it, you are now challenged to become a better person. You have to learn from it and use it in order for you to become stronger. You must know that you will never be a good person unless you continue doing these mistakes. If you learn from them and use them as a tool to come out stronger as you face more difficult challenges in life, then these mistakes will really be of good help. Again, it is fine to commit mistakes as long you commit to not doing the same thing again.

Your Competitor Is Yourself

Saturday, July 9th, 2011

There are a lot of students who wanted to be on top and way ahead of others. Staying better than the others inspire them to do more and excel more. Yet, at the end of the day, would this really make them happy? If you are like this, you will just end up getting burnt out. You will tend to compete and compete until you become so tired of what you are doing. Instead of competing with others, you just have to compete with yourself. Make sure that you make your good better, and your better, best.

Try to make yourself as your standards. Just beat your previous record and be content of what you have and what you can become. By doing this, your only competition is yourself. You are not pressured to be what you cannot just to defeat others. You are always on top because you know that you have just beaten your previous records. This is how you make the most out of the game of life.

Life of the Rain and Flood-

Monday, July 4th, 2011

You’ve never lived in Manila unless you’ve experienced having to brave the floods and getting the lower portion of your body soaked in polluted water… so sorry for your car mat, your mini custom floor mats.

When it rains during a typhoon, it pours. And whether you were out for a gimmick or coming home from work or school, there’s bound to be more than puddles of water in the ground that you have to traverse. Unless of course you decide to wait it out.

Waiting for the flood to recede however is really not ideal because you can never tell if the downpour has completely stopped for the day or merely paused. The next rainfall may be worst so really, braving the dirty flood is an experience of life in Manila.
