Erap for 2010?!

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

A couple of days ago, Former President Joseph Erap Estrada finally announced his candidacy for the 2010 Presidential election!

Here’s is the video of Erap formally announcing his plan to run for President of the Philippines…

If you can remember, the Iglesia Ni Cristo supported Erap on his last run, I wonder if that will be the same case on 2010. We’ll see if Joseph Estrada may need life insurance when he run for presidency.. Matanda na kasi.

Wordpres Upgrade to 2.8.5

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

I just upgraded my WordPress version from 2.8.4 to 2.8.5. I think I am the first one to upgrade.. from the ‘other blogs’ that is.

Mostly the 2.8.5 upgrade are still security updates. Here’s what WordPress has to say about it:

  • A fix for the Trackback Denial-of-Service attack that is currently being seen.
  • Removal of areas within the code where php code in variables was evaluated.
  • Switched the file upload functionality to be whitelisted for all users including Admins.
  • Retiring of the two importers of Tag data from old plugins.

But Finally, a couple of days ago, the building of our garden office has started. It currently still being made but the perimeter and looks of it in general is there. A couple of days more and it will be finished! Can’t wait!

Erecting an Antenna

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Sorry, this is not a tutorial on how to properly erect a 40 feet antenna. Rather, I want to share the activity that my brothers and hubby (and CK) did last weekend (Sunday?),which is yep, you guessed it right, erecting an antenna. This is just one of Nelson’s projects and has nothing to do with the showoff nature of his.. :) kidding.. what’s the point of purchase displays anyway?

Nelson, one of my brothers is starting this internet connectivity business. The goal is to supply internet connection to our neighbors and other nearby houses. He plans to have them all connected wireless for a minimal fee. To achieve this he must have some sort of a transmitter. This is what they did last Sunday.

I will post a picture once I get a chance to take it. Last night, they moved it from the second floor to the ground floor… it was scary since the antenna tower is swinging to and fro every time the wind blows.

Fine Weekend

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

I love Saturdays and weekends in general. And today is just fine, perfect! We’ve been hit by 2 very strong typhoons in the past 2 weeks and I think the weather will be turning good again. The sun is shinning and birds are chirping and my kids are playing.. perfect day and hopefully a perfect weekend.

First October Post

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

How time flies eh? Today (or tonight) is the first day (or night) of the month of October. What’s up with October? Are there any legal holidays that we should be waiting to arrive? I don’t think so. I think the whole October month is a whole work month. No holiday here, except maybe of course for the annual Oktoberfest!
